Evan Mobley Records Double-Double as Cleveland Cavaliers Edge Brooklyn Nets 125–121

The Cleveland Cavaliers secured their first victory of the 2026–27 NBA season with a hard-fought 125–121 win over the Brooklyn Nets, led by a strong all-round performance from Evan Mobley.

Mobley recorded 20 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, adding two steals and three blocks to complete an impressive performance at both ends of the court. His defensive presence and work on the boards helped Cleveland overcome a determined Brooklyn side in a closely contested encounter.

Donovan Mitchell contributed 22 points, five rebounds and four assists, providing an important scoring outlet for the Cavaliers. Jarrett Allen also played a key role, finishing with 21 points, eight rebounds and two blocks as Cleveland found the production needed to secure the result.

Brooklyn scored 121 points but ultimately fell four short of completing the comeback. The defeat left the Nets searching for their first win after opening the campaign with two consecutive losses, while Cleveland moved to 1–1.

Mobley’s contribution was central to the Cavaliers’ success, with his combination of scoring, rebounding and rim protection demonstrating the value of his all-round game.
