Ex-Chelsea, Barcelona star explains why Hazard cannot be compared to Messi, Ronaldo

Former Chelsea striker, Eidur Gudjohnsen has said the Blues ace, Eden Hazard is in a category of group of players that are one level below Barca’s Lionel Messi and Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

Gudjohnsen believes the Belgium International is in the top echelon of talent in the Premier League.

According to Gudjohnsen, one area where Hazard simply cannot compete with Messi and Ronaldo is the sheer number of goals they score.

Hazard has been nominated for this year’s Ballon d’Or but the award is expected to be won by Ronaldo.

“If you look at [Hazard’s] ability and quality he is in that bracket,” the E-x Barcelona man told Chelsea tv.

“When you look at goals there’s no comparison with Messi or Ronaldo though,” Gudjohnsen explained.
