Fabinho: Manchester United move “would be very tempting”
AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho has revealed that he would be open to joining Manchester United should an offer be made this summer.
The 23-year-old is one of a number of players to have been linked with the Red Devils during the off-season after playing a big part in his side’s run to the Ligue 1 crown last time out.
Talk of a switch to Old Trafford has cooled somewhat in recent weeks, with United said to be tracking other targets for a similar fee, but Fabinho would find it hard to say no to Jose Mourinho after previously spending time with the Portuguese at former club Real Madrid.
“If Mourinho invites me [to join United], it would be very tempting,” he told Esporte Interativo. “First of all, I would have to talk with my agent and with Monaco to make the things right. But Manchester United is a great team, and I would think about it, for sure.”
Fabinho, who can also slot into the backline, has previously been touted with a move to Manchester City, AC Milan, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
