Fabregas: Chelsea move the best decision of my career

Monaco midfielder Cesc Fabregas has labelled his move from Barcelona to Chelsea as the best decision of his career.

Fabregas, 33, started his career in Barcelona before joining Arsenal at of 16.

At Arsenal under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger he became one of the best young midfielders in the world but he left for Barcelona after spending 8 years at Arsenal.

He joined Chelsea in 2014 from Barcelona after spending three years at the Catalan giants.

Despite playing for his dream club Barcelona and becoming a man at Arsenal, Cesc Fabregas told Telegraph that his move to Chelsea is probably his career best decision.

‘So never say never, that’s my lesson from all of it and I’m very happy I took the decision. When I was with Arsenal I never believed I could feel what I felt towards Chelsea. It was impossible. But this is the beauty of football.

‘It was my opportunity as a football player, as a professional. But when I took that chance, I never thought I would be so happy [at Chelsea], that I would be so successful and that I would have so much appreciation and feeling with their fans.

‘Being at Chelsea is something that I will never regret in my life; in fact completely the opposite. I will always talk about Chelsea and about my time at Chelsea as probably the best decision of my career.’

Cesc Fabregas won two Premier League titles, FA Cup and League Cup with five years of his stay at Chelsea.
