Falconets bounce into African games final-match with victory over Uganda
Nigeria’s Falconets secured a spot in the final of the 13th African Games after doing what the Flying Eagles could not do – beat Uganda.
The Falconets will battle for gold in the final after defeating Uganda 2-0 in Cape Coast, Ghana.
To emerge victorious, Adaobi Okah and Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, who came in as substitutes, scored the winning goals for the Falconets.
The victory propelled Christopher Danjuma’s side to the final of the women’s football event at the 13th African Games.
The Falconets are now poised to defend their gold medal from the 12th edition, having clinched victory over Uganda.
With their sights set on the top prize, Nigeria aims to maintain their winning momentum into the final showdown as they continue their pursuit of glory in the African Games.
