David Luiz has been praised by everyone for his role in Arsenal 2-0 win against Manchester City in the FA Cup semifinal played at Wembley on Saturday.
The former Benfica defender who had a great game as Mikel Arteta secured a win against his master Pep Guardiola to take Arsenal to a historic 21st FA Cup final.
Although both goals were scored either half by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, David Luiz’s contribution was key to his side’s victory.
He won all of his Aerial duels, and tackles, made 11 clearances, 4 interceptions, blocked 2 shots, created one big chance and won 2 of his 3 attempted ground duels.
The former Chelsea defender usual gets the stick from fans all over but tonight he has been praised from all corners for his role against City.
Meanwhile, an impressed Arsenal legend, Ian Wright has compared David Luiz performance to that of clubs great defenders.
“David Luiz!!! As good a performance as we’ve seen from ANY Arsenal CB!!!,” wrote Wright on his official Twitter page.

Arsenal who have now made it to a record 21 FA Cup finals will now play the winners of the game between Chelsea and Manchester United.
