Fatai Osho: Akwa United FC Attack is becoming an Headache

Head Coach of Akwa United FC, Fatai Osho has blamed the teams goal-less draw vs 3SC on the teams attack which failed to convert numerous chances created.

Osho said the Akwa United FC attack is becoming an headache for him despite the hard work in training.

Akwa United FC have endured a slow start to the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League season, and are yet to win a game after four matches.

On Sunday, October 22, at the Eket Stadium, Coach Fatai Osho tutored Akwa United FC toiled in vain search for their first goal at home this season after also drawing blank vs Sporting Lagos FC in week two.

In his post match interview, Coach Fatai Osho was critical about the missed chances in the final third which he believes has vilified the hard work put in by the other departments.

Osho said ” It’s a sad occurrence, we deserve maximum points in this encounter. The same problem, I mean the quality in that attack is becoming an headache.

” We work so hard during the week to get an improvement in that final third , it’s unbelievable that we are leaving this match with just a solitary point, it’s very very sad.

” The quality in our attack, those are the players we have, it is becoming an headache. We are not really benefitting from the hardwork we put in from our defence to the midfield, when we get to the final third, we dash it away and we come back, it’s just unbelievable, ” the former Rivers United FC Coach lamented.

Akwa United FC have scored five goals on two road trips this season, a significant return cancelled by eight goals conceded.

At home, the Promise Keepers have been water-tight at the back vs Shooting Stars and Sporting Lagos FC but are without a win after failing to score in both home matches.

On the officiating, Osho added ” Officiating is okay generally, that is why you see a team go away and get a point, our own point will come definitely, we have the potential to go anywhere and get points. “
