#FIBAOQT: Nigeria’s D’Tigress closer to securing Olympics ticket after 85-51 win against Mozambique

Nigeria’s National Women Basketball team, D’Tigress have taken a step closer to securing a ticket to participate at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo Japan.

D’Tigress of Nigeria are one of the countries participating in the FIBA Olympics Qualifiers ongoing in Serbia; unless the unforeseen happens they already have a place in the finals.

Nigeria are drawn in the same group alongside world champions, USA who have already qualified for the summer Olympics; Serbia and Mozambique.

A win for Nigeria against their African rivals meant they are mathematically through as the top three teams from the two groups will qualify for the finals.

This is valid in as much as Mozambique doesn’t get a win against either of USA or Serbia in their next games should Nigeria lose their next games to both teams.

Nigeria would still face Serbia on Saturday at 5pm.
