FIFA Names North American Officials for Nigeria vs Japan U-17 Women’s World Cup Final

FIFA has appointed an all-North American officiating team for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final between Nigeria and Japan.

The refereeing team will be led by American referee Natalie Simon, who will be assisted by compatriots Katarzyna Wasiak and Kali Smith.

Canadian officials Carly Shaw-McLaren and Melissa Snedden have also been appointed as the fourth official and reserve assistant referee, respectively.

The final is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, at the Mohammed VI Football Complex (Pitch 3), with kick-off set for 7:30 pm Nigerian time.

Nigeria’s Flamingos will face Japan for the trophy, hoping to make history by becoming the first African nation to win the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The Nigerian team will be looking to end the competition on a high note by securing their first-ever title.
