FIFA U-17 WWC: Group stage wrap
Group stage matches of the India 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup have been completed.
Eight teams have progressed to the quater-final while eight others including hosts India exit the tournament.

24 matches were played in the group stage. The 16 participating Nations played three games apiece.
QUALIFIEDÂ
In Group A, USA and Brazil secured 7 points apiece to reach the last eight at the expense of Morroco and India.
Germany and Nigeria qualified from Group B at the expense of Chile and New Zealand.
Colombia and Spain topped a keenly contested Group C that saw all four countries enter the final group games level on points.
Group D was topped by Japan who finished with a perfect record while debutants Tanzania joined the South Americans in the last eight

77 goals were scored in the 24 group stage games.
HIGHEST SCORING SIDEÂ
USA.
The American ladies scored 13 goals in three group stage games, seven of this lot coming in the opening day annihilation of India.
