Ahead of the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil this October, the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria yesterday night departed the shores of the country for Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The team which is made up of players who participated at the just concluded UEFA/CAF U17 Invitational tourney in Turkey will play tune up games while in Sao Paulo against South Korea, Japan and a club side in the region of Brazil.
Meanwhile, Coach Manu Garba is expected to release his final squad for the world cup on the 16th of October, 2019.
Brazil are the host of the U17 World Cup which kicks off on the 26th of October with the Golden Eaglet in Group B alongside Hungary, Ecuador and Australia.
Nigeria’s first match will be against Hungary on the opening day as the team go for a record sixth title.
