James fires Cavs to a dominant 115-84 win over Raptors in game one

A dominant second quarter from the Cleveland Cavaliers set them up for a comprehensive 115-84 win over the Toronto Raptors in game one of their NBA Eastern Conference final on Tuesday.

The Cavs outscored the Raptors 33-16 in the second quarter before going on to complete a dominant 31-point victory at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

LeBron James was on fire for the Cavs, posting 24 points, pulling down six rebounds and tallying four assists.

Kyrie Irving top-scored for the Cavs with 27 points, while Kevin Love contributed 14.

Surprisingly it was the Raptors who looked the better team in the first quarter, leading 9-2 and then 15-11 before the Cavs bounced back.

The home side managed to sink 12-straight points to take a commanding lead early in the second quarter, and the Raptors struggled to get back into the game from that point on.

Cleveland won both the third and fourth quarters and will head into game two on Thursday with a chance to take a commanding lead in the series in front of their home support.

DeMar DeRozan (18 points) led the Raptors, helped by Bismack Biyombo (12) and James Johnson (10).
