First Start , First Goal For Super Eagles New Boy Akinkummi Amoo
- Scores winner in 1-0 win over Nordsjaelland
Seven Minutes into his first start at Fc Copenhagen, Akinkummi Amoo scored what eventually turned out to be a match-winner in a 1-0 Denmark Superliga clash vs Nordsjaelland.
Since his transfer to the Danish side in January 2022 from Swedish side Hammarby, Amoo had three substitute appearances prior to the Sunday afternoons encounter vs Nordsjaelland.
Akinkummi Amoo scored in the 7th minute and was brilliant for the 45 minutes he lasted on the turf. He was taken off at halftime but his strike was enough to bag all three points thus cementing Fc Copenhagen’s grip on top spot six points above second-placed Mijdtylland.
His performance today will be pleasing news for Super Eagles Interim Manager Austin Eguaveon who will definitely be glad to receive a Confident Akinkummi Amoo as he joins the Eagles for the first time this week.
Nigeria will face Ghana in a World Cup qualification playoffs on the 25th and 29th of March 2022 for a place at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The 2019 Under 17 world Cup star is part of the Super Eagles players expected in camp this week.
