First versus second in NPFL Matchday 17 as season heats up

Enyimba back in NPFL action

Matchday 17 of the NPFL is set to take place on Sunday March 21st and Monday 22nd with all of the games in the Matchday set to go on as scheduled.

On Sunday, Abia Warriors look to extend their 7-game unbeaten run when they host relegation-threatened Katsina United at the Okigwe Township Stadium.

Heartland welcome managerless Warri Wolves to the Dan Anyiam Stadium where they would look to add to the misery of the Seasiders with a win in the game.

18th-placed FC Ifeanyi Ubah host Jigawa Golden Stars in a game they would be looking to win as they have not won any of their last four games in a wretched run of form.

Third-placed Kwara United will look to momentarily regain their place at the top of the table when they host bottom-of-the-table Adamawa United at the Kwara State Sports complex in Ilorin.

Lobi Stars welcome a rejuvenated Rivers United side to the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi.

MFM host Akwa United at the Soccer Temple in Agege as they look to continue their good run against the Promise Keepers. MFM also will be looking for a good result to lift them out of the relegation zone.

Wikki Tourists welcome Kano Pillars to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi looking to pick up an important three points in their bid to escape the drop this season.

On Monday, Sunshine Stars host Enyimba at the Soccer Temple in Agege after they were banned from using their stadium due to crowd trouble. The Akure Gunners are winless in 9 games and at risk of falling into the relegation zone.

Dakkada FC will look to continue their three game home winning streak when they welcome Plateau United to the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

Rangers host Nasarawa United in arguably the biggest fixture of the Matchday between the Solid Miners, who are in first place and the Flying Antelopes in second place.
