Five Nigerians who have won UEFA Cup/Europa League: Will Alex Iwobi join the list?

A win for Arsenal in their Europa League final against Chelsea will put Alex Iwobi’s name in the history book.

In the past, five Super Eagles players have won the UEFA Cup and Europa League winners medal.

Taribo West and Nwankwo Kanu with Inter Milan in 1997-98 were the first to claim the title.

Chidi Odiah with CSKA Moscow in 2005 before the duo of John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses won the title with Chelsea in 2013.

Should Arsenal beat Chelsea, Alex Iwobi will become the 6th Nigerian international player to have won either the UEFA Cup or Europa League.
