FLAMINGOS COACH CONFIDENT OF PICKING WORLD CUP TICKET AT THE EXPENSE OF CAMEROON

The head coach of Nigeria’s National U-17 Women’s team, coach Bala Nikyu is confident of picking the Uruguay 2019 World Cup ticket when his wards confronts their Cameroonian counterparts in the 2nd Leg final round of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2019.

Speaking exclusively to journalists after a practice match between Flamingos and FCT Coaches at the Area 3 Playing Ground on Wednesday 7th February 2018, coach Nikyu stated that with a balanced officiating Nigeria can surpass the Cameroonian hurdle.

He further stated that if the Cameroonians can hold the Flamingos to a 2-2 draw in Benin, nothing stops the Flamingoes from getting maximum points in Yaounde.

When asked how he intends to curtail the Cameroonians considering the fact that they’ve scored 11 goals in 3 games compared to the Flamingos who have not won in 3 games with just three goals.

The experience tactician said, “In the first leg in Benin, we study the Cameroonians and discovered their strength and weaknesses and we are working hard on how to use this against them. The team will go all out from the blast of the whistle until we get we want.”

“There’s nothing spectacular about the Cameroonians, he continued, and that his team are capable of scoring three to four goals in Yaounde.

“He futher stated that the match is not going to be a do or die affair but they are desperately in need of the World Cup ticket.

“Hopefully, things will work out well for the team and Nigeria’s flag will fly in Uruguay in 2019.”
