Flying Eagles Beat Ivorian Club in WAFU B U-20 Warm-up Match

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles continued their preparations for the WAFU B U-20 Championship with a 2-1 win over Ivorian Ligue 2 club Athlétique Club de Zuénoula in a closed-door friendly in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.

Gift Subi opened the scoring for the seven-time African champions before substitute Muiz Adeleke added the second goal to secure the victory.

The friendly gave head coach Aliyu Zubairu another opportunity to assess his squad ahead of the regional tournament.

The Flying Eagles will begin their WAFU B U-20 Championship campaign against Ghana in their opening Group B match as they aim for a strong start to the competition.
