Flying Eagles Coach Zubairu Targets Win Against Kenya

Flying Eagles head coach Aliyu Zubairu has said his team will give everything to win their final Group B match against Kenya at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

The Nigerian side, who have won the tournament seven times, played out a goalless draw with Morocco on Sunday night at the June 30 Air Defence Stadium in Cairo.

Nigeria are currently second in the group with four points from two games and need a win on Wednesday to secure a place in the quarter-finals.

Kenya, who sit bottom of the group with no points, will be fighting for pride.

Speaking after the draw against Morocco, Zubairu said: “We will approach the game against Kenya with full positivity.

“They are a good team and we will show them respect, even though they have not picked up a point yet.

“We will stay focused and play to get all three points.”
