Flying Eagles to Know U-20 World Cup Group Opponents on Thursday

Nigeria’s U-20 team, the Flying Eagles, will find out their group opponents for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup on Thursday, SportsRation reports.

The draw will take place in Santiago, the capital city of Chile, where the tournament will also be hosted.

A total of 24 teams will compete in the competition, which is scheduled to run from 27 September to 19 October. The teams will be divided into six groups, with each group made up of four countries.

The Flying Eagles qualified for the tournament after finishing third at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations earlier this month.

Coach Aliyu Zubairu’s team has been placed in Pot 1, alongside New Zealand, France, Ukraine, Argentina, and Mexico.
