Former Akwa United Forward Inemesit Sunday Joins Rwandan Club Gorilla FC
Nigerian forward Inemesit Sunday has signed for Rwanda Premier League club Gorilla FC on a two-year contract ahead of the new season.
The forward, who has previously played for Musanze FC and AS Kigali, joins Gorilla FC as the club looks to strengthen its attack.
Inemesit had a strong spell last season with AS Kigali, scoring 8 goals in 11 matches. His good form helped him gain more attention in the Rwandan top league.
Gorilla FC are expecting the Nigerian striker to bring more goals and consistency as they prepare for a better campaign. Last season, the club reached the semifinals of the Peace Cup, where they were knocked out by Rayon Sports, and they now hope to go further this time with added attacking strength.
The forward has also played for several clubs in Nigeria, including ALGON Boys FC, Akwa United FC, Rangers International, Dakkada FC, and Ibom Youths FC.
On social media, Inemesit said farewell to AS Kigali, thanking the club for their support during his short stay. He described his time there as one filled with love, teamwork, and family spirit, and wished them well as he moved on to a new challenge.
He wrote “It’s hard to say goodbye to the family that showed up when i needed someone, not only showing up but took me in as family. 5 months of love, happiness, fighting together. I want to say thank you AS KIGALI for the love and God bless you guys. We move forward.”
