Former Man City winger, Adam Johnson, may be placed in child killer prison
Former Sunderland football Adam Johnson could reportedly be locked up in a maximum-security prison alongside notorious child killers Ian Huntley and Levi Bellfield.
On Wednesday, Johnson, 28, was found guilty of one count of sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl and now faces multiple years in jail having previously admitted two further charges before the trial. He was alsoacquitted of another child sex charge.
Johnson was told by the judge at Bradford Crown Court that it was “almost inevitable” he would be going to prison and he was granted bail to say goodbye to his daughter before sentencing later this month.
According to PA, Johnson could be sent to nearby HMP Frankland in Durham, which houses 808 category A and B prisoners serving four years or more.
Should Johnson be sent to Frankland and want to play football, the prison has 5-a-side pitches, one inside and a smaller one outside.
