Former Super Eagles Star Gambo Surprised Emmanuel Dennis Still Without a Club

Former Super Eagles striker Gambo Mohammed says he’s surprised that Emmanuel Dennis still hasn’t found a new club, nearly two months after leaving Nottingham Forest.
Dennis left Forest on 31st August after three difficult years at the club, where he struggled to get regular game time. His contract was ended by mutual agreement, meaning he can join any club at any time, even outside the usual transfer windows.
Since leaving, Dennis has not signed with any new team. He was first linked with a move to Celtic, but that didn’t happen. There were also rumours about interest from Italy’s Serie A, but nothing came from it.
More recently, there were reports about possible moves to Watford and Cypriot club Pafos, but those talks have also gone quiet. As things stand, Dennis is still without a team.
Gambo Mohammed, who played four times for Nigeria, is puzzled by the situation. He believes Dennis is too talented to be without a club for this long.
“I really don’t understand why he’s not playing for any club at the moment,” Gambo told Footy-Africa. “He’s a very good player – he should be scoring goals and making assists.”
“There must be something going on that we don’t know about. Maybe it’s about discipline or motivation, I’m not sure. But his playing style is the kind many clubs would want.”
“I heard Watford were interested but later changed their minds. I really hope he finds a new team soon.”
Why Hasn’t Emmanuel Dennis Found a Club Yet?
Many expected a player like Emmanuel Dennis to have several options, but it seems hard for him to get a move to a top league. He didn’t do well during loan spells at Istanbul Basaksehir, Blackburn Rovers, and even Watford.
Money could also be part of the problem. His market value has gone down in recent years, and he might be asking for wages similar to what he earned at Nottingham Forest — which could be too high for many clubs.
At 27, Dennis is at an age where he should be at his best. He’ll be hoping to sort out his next move soon and return to the pitch.
