Former World Champion Anthony Joshua Survives Accident In Nigeria

British-Nigerian boxing star Anthony Joshua was involved in a road accident on Monday along the Makun axis of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.
Eyewitnesses said a Lexus SUV conveying Joshua collided with a stationary truck near Danco Filling Station. The crash reportedly led to the death of two people at the scene.
Rescue officials said the former heavyweight world champion was pulled out of the vehicle with minor injuries and did not require serious medical treatment.
Early reports suggest the two victims were occupants of another vehicle involved in the crash, although authorities are yet to officially confirm their identities.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, with traffic and emergency agencies examining the circumstances surrounding the incident. As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from Joshua’s management team or Nigerian authorities.
Joshua, 36, is a two-time former unified heavyweight world champion. He held the WBA (Super), IBF and WBO titles between 2016 and 2019, and again from 2019 to 2021.
