Fullife FA , Eagle Eyes Academy , Oxygen Fc and Ikoya Fc through to the last four of the 2022 Akwa Ibom Grassroots Football league.

The Super 8 playoffs of the 2022 Akwa Ibom Grassroots Football League kicked off on Monday 2nd May 2022 at the Onna Township stadium in Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria.

In the first quarter final, league top scorer Samuel Okure scored the only goal as Ikoya Fc defeated Blessed Stars Academy 1-0. Undefeated in the league prior to yesterday’s clash, Blessed stars Academy bossed possession but failed to break the resolve of a solid Ikoya Fc defence. Ikoya Fc thus progressed to the last four.

Oxygen Fc defeated Jimbo International Fc 1-0 in the second quarter final match. It was Oxygen Fc who controlled all facets of the game but failed to find the breakthrough until captain fantastic Michael Jackson scored with a beautiful header in the 76th minute to seal a 1-0 win . Jimbo International Fc bow out of the league after their first defeat of the season.

Last seasons runners up Eagle Eyes Academy laboured to a 1-0 win over Barracks Fc. Midfielder Ukeme Edet scored the games only goal in the 78th minute to take Eagle Eyes Academy to the Semi Final round for a second consecutive season.

Fullife Football Academy stylishly marched past Unity Fc in the 4th Quarter final. Goals from Striker Aniekan Edet and Midfielder Eduek Edet handed Fullife FA a 2-0 win over Unity Fc and a place in the Semi Final.

The Semi final will pitch Ikoya Fc against Oxygen Fc while Eagle Eyes Academy will face Fullife Football Academy. Both matches will take place at the Onna Township stadium on Wednesday 4th May 2022 by 1pm and 4pm respectively.

The final of the 2022 Akwa Ibom Grassroots Football League will hold on Friday 6th May 2022 at the Onna Township stadium in Akwa Ibom state Nigeria.
