Gernot Rohr 2nd highest earner among the 5 coaches taking African Teams to Russia 2018

Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr is the second most paid coach amongst the five coaches that will be taking African teams to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Gernot Rohr who recently signed two-year- contract extension with the Nigeria Football Federation to be in charge of the Super Eagles beyond 2018 is among top earners in Africa but way off the chart of top earners in the world.

Gernot Rohr is not on the list of the top 20 highest paid coaches in the world, in fact, the highest earner in Africa, Hervé Renard, is not among the top 20 earners in the world. Of the 32 countries that will be participating in Russia 2018, managers of African countries are the ones occupying the bottom positions.

Below is the list of the monthly salaries of the five managers that will be taking African countries to Russia 2018.

1. Hervé Renard (Morocco)
With a contract valid until 2022, French is leading the highest paid coaches of African countries engaged in the Russian world. The national coach of Morocco, according to Le360 Sport, would receive $89,760 per month (excluding bonuses).

2. Gernot Rohr (Nigeria)
In the wake of the Super Eagles qualifying at the World Cup, the German technician has extended, at the end of 2017, his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation. He is linked with eagles until 2020. With $43,010 (excluding match bonuses), he is the second best salary, according to sources.

3. Hector Cuper (Egypt)
The former Argentine international has called the Pharaohs of Egypt to the world football festival after 28 years of absence. Unhappy finalist at the 2017 CAN, he was crowned, on January 4, 2018, coach of the year at the CAF Awards. The former coach of the Spanish club Valencia, emarge at nearly 20 million CFA per month outside interesting bonuses. $37,400.

4. Nabil Maaloul (Tunisia)
