Ghana’s pride at stake against Eagles our ‘little babies’ – GFA president, Okraku

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has urged the nation and the men’s football national team to fight for their pride against ‘little babies’ Nigeria.

Nigeria and Ghana play over two legs with the aggregate winner of the games securing the ticket for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The first leg of the qualifiers is to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday 25th by 19:30 GMT (20:30 Nigerian time).

While the return leg is scheduled to take place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday 29th by 5 pm Nigerian time.

And the Ghanaian FA president has called on his players to deal with the Super Eagles of Nigeria whom he described as ‘little babies.’

“It’s that time of the year where every Ghanaian will have to stand up and be counted.

“It’s that time of the year where our country’s pride is at stake,” Okraku told Joy Sports.

“It’s that time of the year where Ghana must be at the Mundial, but before we do that, we have a common foe, the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

“They come across as our little babies, but they pretend to be the big boys.”
