Gift Orban needs just three more goals to turn his loan at Amedspor into a permanent transfer.

The Nigerian striker has made an impressive start to the season in Turkey. He has scored seven goals in six league appearances and added two assists. This has now put him within touching distance of a clause in his contract.

Amedspor president Nahit Eren revealed that the club paid €500,000 to Hoffenheim to bring Orban in on loan, and the deal includes a mandatory purchase clause that becomes active once the striker reaches 10 league goals.

Once Orban gets to 10 goals, Amedspor will have to pay €3 million to make his move permanent. Eren also explained that the fee will be paid in instalments rather than all at once.

That leaves Orban just three goals short of triggering the clause.

The 24-year-old has become one of Amedspor’s most important players since joining from Hoffenheim. His latest goal came in the club’s 3-2 victory over Beşiktaş, taking his league tally to seven.

Orban is now three goals from a permanent transfer. We hope he gets it soon.
