Give Hakimi the Ballon d’Or” – Ex-Saudi Arabia Coach Says

Former Saudi Arabia coach Hervé Renard says Achraf Hakimi should win the Ballon d’Or this year.

Renard believes the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Morocco star has been one of the best players in the world this season.

Hakimi helped PSG win their first-ever UEFA Champions League title under coach Luis Enrique. He has also won four Ligue 1 titles since joining the club in 2021.

PSG also finished second at the FIFA Club World Cup, losing to Chelsea. Hakimi’s performances throughout the season have impressed many in the football world.

Renard Praises Hakimi’s Growth

Speaking to Morocco Worldwide News, Renard said:

“He is one of the best players in the world right now. For me, he should win the Ballon d’Or this season. He’s been excellent, consistent, and important in every game.”

Renard, who coached Morocco at the 2018 World Cup, also talked about Hakimi’s rise through big clubs:

“From Dortmund to Inter Milan and now PSG, he has always played at top clubs. That shows how talented he is.

“Today, Achraf Hakimi is the best player in Africa. And at his age, he still has many more achievements to come.”

Ballon d’Or 2025: Who Will Win?

With the 2025 Ballon d’Or getting closer, football fans are watching stars like Hakimi, Ousmane Dembele, and young sensation Lamine Yamal.

Hakimi has not said much about the award, but when asked, he replied:

“If people think so, then I am honoured.
