Goal Machine! Sunday Adetunji happy to receive best foreign player award

2022 was a huge success for Nigerian forward Sunday Adetunji as he fired North Macedonia club FC Shkupi to league title win, emerging league top-scorer in the process with 20 goals.

For his performance in 2022, Adetunji was named the best foreign player in the Macedonia First League, an award the forward is excited to receive.

In a post on his Facebook handle @SundayAdetunji on Saturday January 14, the former Rivers United FC Goal machine announced his return to training plus receipt of his latest award.

” I am back to work @fcshkupi1927.”

“Excited to received my award as the 2022 Best Foreign Player in the League. ”

” I am dedicating the award to everyone who has supported my career. 💚” the 25-year old forward wrote.

For the 2022/2023 season, Adetunji has featured 13 times for Goce Sedloski tutored FC Shkupi before the break.

The champions are currently placed 2nd place with 34 points, three points behind table toppers Struga though the latter has played a game more.

Shkupi will continue preparations ahead of the February 19 league resumption date with a friendly game against Pobeda on January 16.

A couple of other test games will follow as Shkupi prepare for the business end of the 2022/2023 season.
