Nigeria’s U-17 side, the Golden Eaglets were put in Group B for the 2021 CAF Total U-17 African Cup of Nations billed to hold in Morocco. The Fatai Amoo-tutored boys will face North African side Algeria, Tanzania and Congo in their group in the competition scheduled to commence in March. A total of 12 teams are in the group stage, and only 8 of these teams will progress into the knockout stages.
Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets are in search of a third title at this level in the African Championship and qualified as runners up from the WAFU B-zone behind Cote d’Ivoire. The Golden Eaglets have won the FIFA U-17 World Cup more than any other nation, with their five titles a record.
