Golden State Warriors to Face Game 5 Without Stephen Curry
The Golden State Warriors are in serious trouble as they prepare for Game 5 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The team is already 3-1 down in the series and will now have to play without their star player, Stephen Curry, who is out with a hamstring injury.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr confirmed that Curry will miss Game 5 as he has not been cleared to play. Curry picked up a Grade 1 hamstring strain during the second quarter of Game 1, and although the Warriors managed to win that match, they have lost three games in a row since then.
NBA reporter Anthony Slater shared the update on social media, writing:
“Steph Curry is out tomorrow for Game 5 in Minnesota. The Warriors officially face elimination without their star guard.”
Curry’s absence is a huge blow to the team’s chances. While young players like Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski have tried to step up, replacing Curry’s experience and scoring ability has been very difficult.
The Warriors will now need to deliver a strong performance in Minnesota if they want to stay in the playoffs, but without Curry, their challenge has become even tougher.
