Hans-Dieter Flick turns 4th placed Bayern to a treble winners

Hans-Dieter Flick has turned 4th placed Bayer Munich into a treble winning team for the second time in the club’s history.

The German took over from Niko Kovač on 3 November 2019 after the Croat left Bayern Munich by mutual consent following a 5-1 loss to Frankfurt.

Hans-Dieter Flick inherited a Bayern Munich side who were 4th on the log and battlinf with various issues on and off the pitch.

But in his first game in charge he delayed Olympiakos 2-0 in a Champions League group game.

He gradually steadied the shep of the Bavarians leading them to a Bundesliga title in June and DFB-Pokal in July.

The 54-year-old completed he remarkable treble for the Bayern Munich beating Paris Saint-Germain in the final on August 23rd.

Bayern Munich’s run was remarkable as the smashed Barcelona 8-2 on their to winning the title.

In fact, Bayern Munich won the title without dropping a point becoming the first team ever in competition history to win the title winning all of their games.

His master stroke in the final dropping a regular Ivan Perisic for Kingsley Coman worked wonders as the former PSG attacker scored the winning goal and eventually won the finals player of the match.

Hans-Dieter Flick became just the second Bayern Munich manager in club’s history to complete a League, DFB-Pokal and Champions League treble.

The German manager achieved in less than a year what the celebrated Pep Guardiola failed to achieve in charge of Bayern Munich.

Pep throughout his three-year reign as Bayern Munich manager failed to win the Champions League.
