Harry Kane Sets Bundesliga Record with Hat-Trick

Harry Kane made history by becoming the fastest player to score 50 Bundesliga goals, achieving the milestone with a hat-trick in Bayern Munich’s 3-0 win over Augsburg.

The England captain opened the scoring with a penalty in the 63rd minute and added two more goals in injury time. His second goal also came from the penalty spot after Keven Schlotterbeck fouled him and was sent off for a second yellow card. Kane completed his hat-trick with a brilliant header following a perfect first touch.

Kane’s 50 goals in just 43 Bundesliga games surpassed Erling Haaland’s record of 50 goals in 50 games during his time with Borussia Dortmund.

The victory keeps Bayern unbeaten in the league, with nine wins and two draws from 11 games. They are now eight points clear at the top of the table ahead of the weekend fixtures.

Speaking after the match, Kane told DAZN:
“We knew it would be tough to break them down. At half-time, we said to stay patient. The penalty helped open the game, and we finished strong to secure the win.”

The 31-year-old now has 14 goals in 11 league matches for Bayern, including five from penalties. Kane highlighted the importance of practising spot-kicks, saying:
“I work on them a lot. They’re a big part of the game, and they helped us again today. Of course, I’ve missed plenty in training, but that’s where you learn.”

Kane’s debut Bundesliga season has been record-breaking. He has already scored 20 goals in all competitions, including four in Bayern’s 9-2 Champions League win over Dinamo Zagreb in September. That performance made him the top English scorer in Champions League history with 33 goals, surpassing Wayne Rooney’s record of 30.

Kane also became the first English player to score four goals in a Champions League match, solidifying his place as one of the game’s greats.
