Heartland ready for key relegation battle against Bendel Insurance

Heartland FC say they are fully prepared for their crucial relegation fight in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), SportsRation reports.

The Owerri-based side will face Bendel Insurance on Sunday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City in a must-win game.

Heartland need all three points to boost their chances of staying in the top division, while Bendel Insurance are chasing a win to keep their hopes of qualifying for continental football alive.

“Courage knows no bounds. It begins where comfort ends! With courage, we go in the hunt for what will be required to save our season!” the club posted on their official Facebook page.

Heartland currently sit in 16th place on the NPFL table with 45 points.
They are just above Niger Tornadoes, Akwa United, and Sunshine Stars.

Lobi Stars have already been relegated to the Nigeria National League (NNL).
