Henry Onyekuru to become the 6th Nigerian player to represent Everton

Henry Onyekuru who is on the verge of completing a five-year deal English Premier League side, Everton is set to become the latest Nigerian player to represent the Toffees.

The 19-year-old attacker who finished the Belgium domestic league with 23 goals in both regular and postseason for KAS Eupen made his debut for the Pandas made his in 2015 as a 17-year-old and helped the club achieve promotion to the Belgian top flight in his debut season.

Henry Onyekuru will become the sixth Nigerian player to represent the club when he makes his debut after Daniel Amokachi, Joseph Yobo, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Hope Akpan and Victor Anichebe.

Henry Onyekuru becomes the third player signed by coach Ronald Koeman after the club confirmed Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen and Jordan Pickford this offseason.

 

Henry Onyekuru who will complete his £7m move to Goodison Park on Friday after passing medicals will be shipped out on loan to Belgian Champions Anderlecht for the 2017/18 season, where he is expected to gain more experience and continue his development.
