‘Highest’ – Victor Boniface praises Osimhen after stellar return for Galatasaray
Nigerian strikers Victor Osimhen and Victor Boniface continue to share a strong bond, with Boniface applauding Osimhen’s sensational comeback for Galatasaray.
Osimhen scored twice in Galatasaray’s commanding 5-1 win over Kayserispor in the Turkish Süper Lig on Sunday night, marking a triumphant return to action.
This was Osimhen’s first start since recovering from injury, and he wasted no time making an impact. He converted a penalty just three minutes into the game to give Galatasaray an early lead.
Although Kayserispor equalised through Stephane Bahoken shortly after, Galatasaray regained control with goals from Barıs Alper Yılmaz and Yunus Akgün. Osimhen then scored his second goal in the 71st minute, showcasing his exceptional finishing skills.
Osimhen’s performance extended Galatasaray’s unbeaten run in the league and solidified their position at the top of the table with 44 points from 16 games. He now has nine goals and three assists in the Süper Lig this season, reaffirming his importance to the reigning champions.
After the match, Victor Boniface celebrated Osimhen’s performance on social media. He shared a post on his Instagram story with the caption “Highest,” which Osimhen acknowledged by reposting it.
This exchange highlights the strong friendship between the two players, who continue to support each other on and off the pitch.
Meanwhile, Boniface is recovering from an injury sustained during international duty with Nigeria. Although back in training, he missed Bayer Leverkusen’s 5-1 win against Freiburg over the weekend, watching from the stands as his teammates finished the first half of the season in style.
The two Super Eagles stars remain key figures for their respective clubs and continue to inspire with their camaraderie and performances.
