How Raheem Sterling Turned Down Bayern Munich Move

Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling has reportedly turned down a chance to join German club Bayern Munich late in the summer transfer window.
Sterling, who previously played for Liverpool and Manchester City, has not been part of new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca’s plans since the summer. He has been training away from the main squad.
Last season, Sterling spent time on loan at Arsenal, Chelsea’s London rivals.
According to The Athletic, Bayern Munich showed interest in signing Sterling while they were in talks with Chelsea about taking striker Nicolas Jackson on loan.
However, the 30-year-old England star said no to the move, as he didn’t want to move his family to Germany or be away from them for too long.
Bayern manager Vincent Kompany, who played with Sterling for four years at Manchester City, recently said their friendship will “always remain.” The two won several trophies together, including the Premier League.
