‘How to beat Barcelona’ – Taye Taiwo shares tip with Inter Milan

Former Super Eagles defender Taye Taiwo has advised Inter Milan to score early when they take on Barcelona in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.

Inter and Barcelona played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the first leg at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys. With the return leg set for the San Siro, Inter will enjoy home advantage as both sides aim for a place in the final.

Taiwo, who spent time in Italy with AC Milan, believes Inter can progress if they take control early.

He told RG: “It won’t be easy because Barcelona are strong, but Inter have a big chance, especially at home.

“If they can score an early goal, I believe their solid defence can help them win the tie.”

Inter are seen as slight favourites going into the second leg, but Barcelona’s dangerous attack, led by their in-form forwards, makes it a tough challenge.
