AC Milan striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to make a sensational return to the Swedish national team after he was included in the squad to face Georgia and Kosovo in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers next week, as well as the friendly against Estonia.
Ibrahimovic’s inclusion comes 5 years after he announced his retirement from the international scene in 2016. He was reportedly offered a place in the 2018 World Cup squad, but declined the invitation to play as Sweden reached the quarterfinals before losing to England. He is now set to represent his national team at the 2020 European Championship in June barring any unforeseen circumstances.
The 39 year old is Sweden’s all-time top scorer, having scored 62 goals in 112 appearances in 15 years with the national team
