Iga Swiatek keeps US Open run Alive after Tough Bouzkova Battle
Iga Swiatek survived a tough test from Marie Bouzkova, winning 7-6(3), 7-6(3) to reach the US Open fourth round.
The Polish star had to work for the victory, saving three set points and recovering from 2-4 down in the second set before sealing another tight tiebreak. Swiatek hit 18 forehand winners during the match and kept her composure when Bouzkova pushed her deep into both sets.
The win sends Swiatek into the US Open Round of 16 for a sixth straight year. It is also her 36th victory of the 2026 season and her 13th win in her last 14 matches.
Swiatek now faces Qinwen Zheng in the fourth round, setting up a rematch after Zheng defeated Madison Keys earlier in the day.
