Ighalo’s Al Hilal eye Chelsea Challenge in the FIFA Club world Cup

- Face Al Jazira on Sunday.

Nigerian Forward Odion Ighalo and his new Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal today arrived in the UAE to participate in the FIFA Club world Cup.

AFC champions Al Hilal will on Sunday take on hosts Al Jazira for the chance to face European Champions Chelsea in the Semi Final.

Odion Ighalo will be participating in the club world Cup for the first time. The Nigerian Forward who made a goalscoring debut for Al Hilal will be an instrumental part of Al Hilal’s charge for a Club world Cup title.

To reach this target and make history as the first ever AFC side to win the FIFA Club world Cup, Odion Ighalo and his teammates must wrestle off Al Jazira and be at their very best to knockout Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.

Al Jazira kicked off the 18th FIFA Club world Cup with an exciting 4-1 victory over OFC representatives Pirae on thursday night.CAF Champions league winners Al Ahly of Egypt will on Saturday play Monterrey for a place in the Semi Final against Brazilian side Palmeiras.

The Final match of the Club world Cup will take place at the Mohammed Bin Zayed stadium on Saturday 12th February 2022. Odion Ighalo and Al Hilal know the difficult challenge on their path to glory but will first seek Al Jazira’s scalp to set up an exciting Semi Final against Chelsea.
