Iheanacho completes move to FC Midtjylland
Three-time Danish champions FC Midtjylland have announced they have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Stanley Iheanacho.
According to AllNigeriaSoccer, the former Golden Eaglet will start his FC Midtjylland career with the clubs U19 team.
18-year old Stanley Iheanacho whose surname strikes thoughts of Leicester City FC striker Kelechi Iheanacho has put pen to paper on a five-year deal that will keep him at Midtjylland until 2028.
The striker now joins Musa, Jamiu Musbaudeen and Obule Moses at FC Midtjylland U19 team.
A member of the Fatai Amoo tutored Nigeria Golden Eaglets squad to the 2021 WAFU Zone B Tournament, Iheanacho’s strength and speed was key to the Jutland outfits decision to sign him from his Youth team, FC Hearts.
Following the announcement of his move to FC Midtjylland, Stanley Iheanacho in his first interview revealed the move means a lot to him considering the work he put in to make it happen.
Iheanacho said: “I’m really happy, and it’s something I’ve been waiting for for a long time. It has been a hard fight to get here, so to be standing here now means a lot to me”.
He becomes the latest export from Abuja based academy FC Hearts who have previously produced ex-Nigeria U17 captain Musa Muhammed, Ifeanyi Mathew and many others.
