Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho finally scored his first Premier League goal of the season for Leicester City in their 2-0 win over Fulham FC on Wednesday.
The 24 year old opened the scoring in the 17th minute when he timed his run to perfection to meet James Maddison’s inch-perfect cross and head it beyond the reach of Alphonse Areola in the Fulham goal. Young fullback, James Justin also got in on the action in the 44th minute to make it 2-0 after another Maddison assist.
This was Iheanacho’s first goal in the league this season in his 15th appearance. In the absence of the injured Jamie Vardy, the Foxes will be looking to him to lead the line and if he does like he did against Fulham, they have nothing much to fear.
