Ikoya Fc Pulls Pillars Investors Apart 7-0. Oxygen Suffocate Krane. Akwa Ibom State Grassroots League Week Two Review

Week two matches of the 2022 Akwa Ibom state Grassroots league were decided on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th March 2022.

On Thursday, Scorpion Fc and Josima Fc settled for a 0-0 draw in the early morning kickoff. The much anticipated Derby between Krane Fc and Oxygen Fc followed by 9am. Japhet Dickson’s first half strike was enough for Oxygen to Suffocate Krane Fc to seal a 0-1 win.

Barracks Fc and Blessed stars Fc ended 1-1. Isreal Joseph scored his fourth of the season but the Barrack boys fought back through Ibe Joseph. Unity Fc added further misery to the Leaking Cheetah Fc Defence in the last game of the day. It finished Cheetah Fc 0-3 Unity Fc.

On Friday, Ikoya Fc pulled Pillars Investors apart 7-0 in the opening match of the day at the University of Uyo Mini stadium. Four goals from Samuel Okure,  plus strikes from Nsikak , Utitofon and James sealed a record setting highest winning margin in the history of the league.

Eagle Eyes were held to a 0-0 draw by Jimbo international. Goals by Emmanuel Peter and Godwin Sunday bettered Love Essien’s strike to hand Fullife Football Academy a 2-1 win over Nichin Football Academy.

Edak Fc turned off the Flames through a first half strike by Ndianabasi to defeat New Flame 1-0 in the last game of Week two. 17 goals were scored in week two, three less than the 20 goals recorded in Week One. With two wins from two matches, Oxygen Fc and Fullife Academy are top of the standings in Onna and Uyo Zone respectively.

Week three matches will take place on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th March 2022 .
