Ilechukwu: 16yr old Lawal Abayomi will replace Sikiru Olatunbosun in the CAFCL

MFM FC manager, Fidelis Ilechukwu has heaped praises on 16 year old Lawal Abayomi for a sensational debut against AS Real Bamako of Mali in Agege on Wednesday.

 
Lawal Abayomi became the youngest player to debut in the CAFCL when he came on in the second half of the game.
Abayomi had a great game to remember as he made light work of the Real Bamako defence while also providing the assist for Chijioke Amuneto header with a delightful cross.

Speaking after the game, Ilechukwu had great words for the young lad: “Lawal Abayomi had a great game, I am happy for him. He will come in to replace Sikiru Olatunbosun because for now in the competition we don’t have any player”.
The gaffer also spoke on the omission of Jesse Akila in the matchday squad:​ “In the defence line, I am confident but in our attack I am not, Jesse Akila missed this game to the best knowledge of the management.” said Ileckuwu
