Imoh Ezekiel 1st league goal not enough as Kortrijk lose to Osimhen’s Charleroi

Nigerian striker, Imoh Ezekiel scored his first ever league goal in Kortrijk 1-2 home loss to Victor Osimhen’s Sporting Charleroi in their Belgian top flight game on Saturday.

Imoh Ezekiel who had played 15 league games without a goal, finally found the back of the net in his 16th game as Kortrijk suffered a loss at Guldensporen Stadion.

All the goals were scored in the second half after Charleroi missed the chance to go up in the first half from the 12 yards.

Imoh Ezekiel opened the scoring in the 48th minutes of the game before Felipe Avenatti restored parity for Charleroi in the 51st minute.

Jeremy Perbet scored the winning goal in the last minutes of the game. While Victor Osimhen was on the pitch for the entire duration of the game, Imoh Ezekiel was subbed off in the 73rd minutes for Teddy Chevalier.

It is another game for Victor Osimhen without a goal but the Wolfsburg loanee will be proud of his contribution in his side’s away win.

For the Olympics bronze medalist, Imoh Ezekiel he will be relieved to have found the back of the net having gone 15 games without a goal.
