Impressive Super Eagles Held By Brazil In Intl Friendly

The Super Eagles of Nigeria this Sunday played out a 1-1 draw against five time world champions, Brazil in an international friendly at the National Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.

Nigeria took the lead just after the half hour mark when Osimhen after beating his marker from the right, crossed for Moses Simon to find the run of Aribo who dribbled his way through to score his second goal in just his second start for the Eagles.

Casemiro restored parity for the Samba Boys, two mins after resumption of play after when Brazil hit the cross bar from a corner with the Real Madrid midfielder reacting first to tuck home the leveler.

There was enough time for goalkeeper Maduka Okoye to make his Super Eagles debut when he came on for the impressive Uzoho who landed awkwardly on his ankle while trying to keep out a Brazil corner.

Both sides went for the kill but couldn’t find the winner as Brazil and Nigeria settled for a draw twenty –three years and a couple of months after Nigeria spectacularly ejected Brazil from the Centennial Olympic Games men’s football tournament in Atlanta, Georgia at the semi final stage
