Incredible Oshoala nets treble, climbs to top of Pichichi ladder

Barcelona Femeni extend 100% league record with Real Betis thrashing

Asisat Oshoala came off the bench to net a hat-trick for FC Barcelona Femeni as they battered Real Betis 7-0 to pick up their 18th win from 18 league games this season. The Super Falcons ace has now reached 98 goals for FC Barcelona Femeni in her career.

Barcelona started the game in their usual high-octane fashion and went ahead through Geyse Ferreira after only 14 minutes. Keira Walsh scored her first goal for the club in the 38th minute to make it two before Claudia Pina added a third in the 48th minute.

Oshoala was introduced off the bench for Ana Crnogorcevic after 59 minutes, and the striker needed only two minutes to add her name to the scoresheet. Mariona Caldentey made it five in the 64th minute before Oshoala added two more goals in the 77th and 92nd minutes to wrap up a comprehensive win for the Spanish champions.

Oshoala has now scored 17 times in 17 appearances for FC Barcelona in the league this season and sits atop the scoring charts despite a slow start to the season. The pacey forward needs only two more goals to reach a century of goals for the club.

Nigerian striker Rinsola Babajide was a second half substitute for Real Betis and was introduced after 72 minutes but she failed to make an impact on the game.
