Poland captain Robert Lewandowski has suggested that the referee, Michael Oliver made a mistake by awarding a penalty to Nigeria in the 61st minute of the international friendly between the two countries on Friday.
Marcin Kaminski stucked his leg out on Victor Moses in the 61st minute as referee Oliver pointed to the spot.
The Bayern Munich striker however has insisted that the Nigerian team did not create too many chances to score.
”I think that Nigeria did not create too many chances, except for the penalty incident, which probably was not,” said Lewandowski.
”The referee told me that he whistled because he saw the reaction of Kamyk ( Marcin Kaminski)” Lewandowski concluded
It was the first ever meeting between Nigeria and Poland with Super Eagles coming out victorious with a 1-0 win at the Municipal Stadium, Wroclaw, Poland.
