Italian Coach Blasts Osimhen: “He’s Not a Champion, Just Take Him to Saudi!
Italian coach Floro Flores has launched a harsh attack on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, calling him “mediocre” and a “troublemaker” who should leave Europe for Saudi Arabia.
Speaking on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, the Benevento coach accused Osimhen of being ungrateful to Napoli, the club where he made his name.
“He should just go to Saudi Arabia and stop all the noise,” Flores said. “I’m tired of hearing about this average player who only had one good season.”
The former Napoli player didn’t hold back, questioning Osimhen’s character and achievements.
“He’s a man who turns his back on the city that made him famous. Before Napoli, not even his mother knew him,” Flores claimed.
He also slammed the striker for removing Napoli-related photos from his Instagram page.
“He’s not a champion. He’s not De Bruyne. What has he really won? Nothing special,” the Italian coach added.
“If I were his agent, I would already have taken him to Saudi Arabia.”
Flores concluded by quoting former Italy forward Fabio Quagliarella: “Check the record books. Look at the number of seasons he has played in Serie A and B – that tells you the kind of player he is.”
Victor Osimhen, who now plays for Galatasaray, has been linked with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia this summer after a dramatic end to his time at Napoli.
